Jonathan (Lead) >> Ex-soldier who takes a controversial approach to anti-social behaviour.

Reuniting the winning combination of Nick Scott and Jonathan Rhodes, 'Big Society' is a pitch-black character-led mockumentary comedy.
Born from our desire to just 'make stuff', Nick and I set about our usual process of creating a character. We then improvised with this character, filming all that we did. From this filmed impro, Nick went away and filtered out the themes and the golden nuggets of dialogue and wove it into a script. We then prepped this script like any other and only needed two days (and a lot of favours) to shoot 'Big Society', working around my summer down-time from 'MI High'.
There's some excellent work by all invloved in this one and it should provoke a reaction in those who watch it.
'Big Society' has won best Short Film at Bornshorts FIlm Festival in Denmark; and is nominated for the Grand Prix at Encounters Film Festival in Bristol, the largest short film festival in the UK.
I also produced with Nick.

"I've collaborated with Jonathan a number of times and find it hugely rewarding. A highlight of this work has been 'Big Society'. The central performance in 'Big Society' had to be convincingly real for the film to work. Jonathan managed to do this effortlessly, whilst still bringing complexity to the character. The success of the film is a testament to his talent." NICK SCOTT
