The Kemper Parliament Show (Theatre)
| Status: | Completed |
| Production Dates: | Apr 20 2002 - Apr 20 2002 |
| Role: | "Charles I" (Supporting) - King of England |
After a great week at RADA on the Advanced Drama in Television course, Colin asked me to be part of a one night only dinner theatre extravaganza at The Banqueting House on Whitehall.
A stunning location - the only remaining building of Whitehall Palace, a cavernous room where centuries of monarchs have entertained esteemed guests. Quite something to be playing Charles I in the building where he had his head lopped of 400 years ago!
The evening was orchestrated around some VVIP's from the US of A and the five acts of the show were played around the courses of their banquet. A fast moving, comical, Python-esqe look at the history of British Parliament through the years was presented at break neck speed to a very rich and powerful group of insurance brokers, and I'm not entirely sure how much of it they understood - but we had a lot of fun.
